Self Storage for Airbnb Hosts

The use of Airbnb has exploded over the last few years, as travelers are looking for alternatives to hotels.  Not only is Airbnb a great option for travelers, it can be an incredibly lucrative business for hosts as well.

However, if you are a frequent Airbnb host, you have likely dealt with the issue of apartment turnover and maintenance.  In order to get your space ready for the next guest, you need clean bed linens, clean towels, paper goods, and certain household goods (i.e., dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, coffee filters, etc.).  Many times, Airbnb hosts do not have the room to store stockpiles of these items. As a result, you may not have these items on hand during each turnover, which can cause stress and added cost.

One way to manage this problem is to use a local self-storage facility.  It is especially cost-effective to do so if you are managing more than one Airbnb space.  You can store all of your necessities at the facility, and either access the goods yourself, or even provide the key to your cleaning service so that they can restock as necessary.  It’s a great way to keep everything in one place. Most self-storage facilities have long access hours too - so you can access these items almost anytime during the day, and late into the evening too.
